Privacy Policy

Sek is a friends-only dinner planning app. It helps a group create a dinner, invite members, choose a place and time, track orders, and calculate who owes whom.

Information Sek collects

Sek uses Firebase Authentication for Sign in with Apple and Google sign-in. The app may store your account identifier and basic sign-in profile information needed to operate the app.

When you use Sek, the app stores dinner data you create or join, including dinner titles, attendees, RSVPs, place and time proposals, votes, menu items, order items, split settings, settlement results, and payment-status updates.

If you choose to add bank details for settlement, Sek stores the account name and account number you enter. These details are used to show other dinner members how to pay you when you are owed money.

If you allow notifications, Sek stores Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens so the app can send dinner-related notifications such as when someone joins a dinner.

If you scan a menu, Sek processes the captured images on device to recognize text. The scanned photos are not stored by Sek after the recognition flow.

How Sek uses information

Sek uses your information to provide authentication, dinner collaboration, invite joining, restaurant and menu reuse, bill splitting, settlement display, notification delivery, and support.

Sharing

Dinner information is shared only with members of that dinner. Your private profile data is readable by you, except settlement details that must be shown to dinner members so they can complete manual bank transfers.

Sek does not sell personal information and does not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.

Service providers

Sek uses Firebase and Apple platform services to provide authentication, database storage, cloud functions, push notifications, and app distribution infrastructure.

Retention and deletion

Sek keeps dinner and profile data while needed to provide the app. To request deletion of account or app data, email sevenray@gmail.com.
